Frio County Municipal Court Warrants
Pearsall and Dilley Municipal Courts handle their own city ordinance, traffic, and Class C matters. A city citation can produce a missed-appearance or post-judgment process that stays with the municipal court record. The sheriff may help with service questions, but a county search or phone call does not replace the city clerk's status answer.
Pearsall names alias arrest warrants and capias pro fine. Dilley's public pages name the court and payment link but do not publish the city's warrant categories or recall terms. Ask each city court about its own case and use the county pages only for county and JP matters.
Frio County City Warrant Routing
Pearsall's official warrant page says City Marshals pursue people in warrant status and that city warrants enter a regional database checked by police. The page does not name the system or let the public search it. A city marshal's enforcement role and the Municipal Court clerk's case-record role are separate.
Dilley Municipal Court sits at City Hall, while JP4 is at a different Dilley address. A ticket marked Dilley can therefore point to two distinct court systems. Read the issuing court on the citation before calling.
The Texas Judicial Branch court directory lists the two city courts separately. See the Pearsall warrant-type page and the Dilley Municipal Court page for each city's own instructions.

The directory identifies court contacts. It does not display a warrant or citation record.
Frio County Cities With Municipal Courts
Pearsall and Dilley are the two incorporated Frio County cities listed with their own municipal courts. A county or precinct citation belongs with the JP named on the document, even when the court office is also in one of those cities. Unincorporated Moore does not have a municipal court in the official directory reviewed.
| City | Court | Warrant Types | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pearsall | Pearsall Municipal Court | Alias arrest; capias pro fine | 830-334-4160 |
| Dilley | Dilley Municipal Court | City-court types not published | 830-965-1624; verify |
Moore Has No Municipal Warrant Court
Moore is unincorporated and does not appear in the judicial directory as a city with its own municipal court. A citation issued in the area still belongs to the court named on the document; do not search Pearsall or Dilley only because they are nearby. Use the JP precinct or county court identified by the case and ask that clerk where to verify any warrant or payment status.
The Texas Judicial Branch directory is the source for listed municipal courts and does not show a Moore municipal court.
Frio County Municipal Warrant Lookup Limits
Neither city publishes a complete public warrant roster. Pearsall links citation payments through GovRec and describes a lookup by citation number or first and last name with DOB. That is not a warrant filter. Dilley links a GovRec payment page, but the live fields were not inspectable and the city states no fee, required inputs, update timing, or recall workflow.
For a city record request, ask the Municipal Court what case-file or payment-history process it uses. The District Clerk's open-records email is for that office's files, not for a city citation. A sheriff request also cannot replace the city docket.
Checking a Municipal Court Warrant
Use the court printed on the city citation and ask for the exact case status before paying. Pearsall's official pages explain warrant types, fees, and the citation lookup path. Dilley's pages provide the clerk contact and online-payment link but leave the fields and warrant rules unstated.
- Call the Municipal Court clerk with the citation number and ask whether a warrant or judgment appears.
- For Pearsall, use GovRec only through the city's instructions; the documented lookup keys are citation number or name plus DOB.
- For Dilley, ask the clerk to confirm the case and total before using its GovRec link.
- Ask whether police or marshals have a service role, but get case status and recall from the court.
Frio County Municipal Warrant Fields
A city payment lookup may return a citation or amount due, but the research found no public sample warrant entry in either city. Ask for the court's process label, case number, issue date, current balance, appearance or bond requirement, and whether the judge has recalled the warrant. Dilley's vendor form fields and status behavior remain unknown.
Pearsall's local categories are more specific: alias arrest for failure to appear and capias pro fine for failure to comply with a judgment or order. Do not transfer those labels to Dilley or a Frio JP case.
Inside a Municipal Court Warrant
Ask the municipal clerk to identify the court file and the record's current status. No Frio city site publishes a sample warrant record or code format. Separate the citation's balance, the warrant's status, any bond requirement, and the date the city will report a recall.
| Case number | No public sample Neither city publishes a warrant-number example. |
|---|---|
| Charge / citation | Ask whether it is an ordinance, traffic, or other Class C city matter. |
| Issuing court | Pearsall Municipal Court or Dilley Municipal Court. |
| Balance / bond | Request the current total and any appearance or bond requirement. |
| Status | Confirm active, recalled, served, or another court label with the clerk. |
Frio County Warrant Recall Questions
Before paying, ask whether the warrant is an alias arrest or capias pro fine, whether full payment closes the judgment, whether a judge appearance or bond is required, and when the court updates the regional database. Pearsall's official page adds a $50 fee per case when a warrant is ordered. That fee is not countywide.
Dilley's city pages do not publish a warrant fee, amnesty date, safe-surrender promise, recall form, or bond schedule. Keep a receipt and request written confirmation that the court entered recall or another disposition.
How to Resolve a Municipal Court Warrant
Start with the city court, not the sheriff's general page. Ask whether the matter can be paid, requires a hearing, or needs a judge's recall. Frio County has no universal city-court resolution rule, and an online receipt alone may not remove a regional service entry.
- Confirm the warrant type, exact total, and any judge appearance with the clerk.
- Use only the city's linked payment route if the clerk says payment is proper.
- Save the receipt and ask whether the court entered recall or set another date.
- Ask when the court will update police or any regional system.
Warning: Pearsall warns that City Marshals pursue warrant cases. Call the court before appearing, and do not assume a vendor payment clears the record at once.
